72,000 folks crowded into the Water Front Park in Portland, Oregon Sunday to get closer to Obama. (In 2004, by comparison, 50,000 turned out for John Kerry who had Leonard DiCaprio and Jon Bon Jovi in tow.) Obama is hoping that Oregon will give him the majority of pledged delegates, though neither Obama or Clinton can gain enough delegates with either Oregon or Kentuck to clinch the nomination.
He showed his flair and sense of humor, at one point sharing with the audience that he'd like to return to Pendleton during that city's famed Rodeo Days. "I am not going to ride a bull, though, I have enough trouble with bowling."
